How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the YooHoo Social platform
• Authenticate your account and manage access

• Register you for gatherings and communicate essential gathering information
• Organise carpooling arrangements to facilitate community connection and reduce environmental impact
• Coordinate pickup logistics from public transport locations
• Contact you in case of emergency during gatherings

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored securely on encrypted servers located in Germany (European Union), hosted by Hetzner
• Infrastructure is managed by Junovy on a Kubernetes cluster with industry-standard security measures
• We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data in accordance with GDPR requirements
• Access to personal information is restricted to authorised platform administrators and Junovy technical staff only
• We retain gathering registration data for 1 year after the gathering for administrative and safety purposes
• Contact form inquiries are retained for 6 months
• Carpooling and pickup coordination data is deleted 30 days after the gathering concludes
• Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account; you can request deletion at any time

Third-Party Services

YooHoo Social uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Hetzner (Germany)

  Server hosting and infrastructure; your data remains in the EU

• Keycloak (self-hosted)

  Authentication and identity management; hosted on the same EU infrastructure

• Mailjet

  Transactional email delivery (e.g., gathering confirmations, notifications) and marketing communications (e.g. newsletters, gathering and event notifications, YooHoo Social news)

• Junovy CDN (built on top of Hetzner Cloud)

  File and media uploads

We do not use any third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics services that identify individual users.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or commercially share your personal information. We may share information only:

• With other registered participants for carpooling coordination (with your explicit consent)
• With emergency services if necessary for your safety
• As required by law

Under GDPR and Dutch privacy law, you have the right to:

Children
